Angellozzi Tartuficoltura represents the continuity of a fifth generation tradition of truffle hunters, in the province of Ascoli Piceno. The company grows and harvests the three most valuable varieties of truffles in its own plantation: White truffle (Tuber magnatum Pico), Winter black truffle (Tuber melanosporum Vitt.) and Summer black truffle (Tuber aestivum Vitt). After being harvested, washed and brushed by hand, each truffle undergoes a strict selection according to quality parameters: shape, smell, stage of ripening, etc. The company is almost exclusively devoted to the sale of fresh truffles to high-end restaurants and hotels, distributors and delicatessen all over the world. In order to meet market requirements, Angellozzi Tartuficoltura also sells frozen truffles and has developed a unique line of 100% organic preserved truffles in cans or glass jars. Their ingredients are simply real truffles, water and salt. Indeed, the company has refused to use synthetic aromas which are necessary to realize the so-called “truffle-flavoured” products, such as oil, butter, sauce, etc.
