Caseificio dell’Alta Langa is an artisanal, family owned dairy located in Bosia, a little village of Alta Langa area, in the Piedmont hills. Roots are very important for us, that’s why all of our production comes from the traditions handed down by the people living in these places. Our territory, made of steep slopes and far from the most important trade routes, is still nearly “uncontaminated”, with its economy based mainly on little breeding of goats, sheep and cows. Hence the dairy production: because of the small quantity of milk obtained by the everyday milking, people used to produce small size mixed milk cheeses, example of what we call the “langarola” tradition. Now our work keeps our grandparents’ tradition alive and spreads it in Italy and all over the world, thanks to our high quality cheeses: synthesis of craftmanship, human skills and technological innovation.
