The family-run business was founded in the 40s. The company states in Avella, the town reported to be one of the first places where hazelnuts information can be traced, so much that their scientific name is Corylus Avellana (Source: “Species Plantarum, 1753”). Raffaele Maietta was the far sighting forefather, which started what was considered a marginal cultivation at the times. As a florid hazelnuts grower, he contributed to expand this cultivation along the Centre and North Italy. Nowadays, his nephews lead the company, which has been brought to the integration of the entire value chain, from growing to transformation. Semi-finished artisanal products for confectionary and creamery, as well as hazelnut spreads, are the products made by a fine and verified handcraft laboratory work.
