Salpa Srl is located in the town of Petronà, on the slopes of “Sila Piccola” in Calabria, on a natural terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea at about 900 meters above sea level. The company is in the agricultural and food sector for about 40 years and while Capellupo family has been in the mushroom business for more than 60 years. The best SALPA products are: chestnuts, dry chestnuts, frozen and dried mushrooms (boletus edulis), various products in oil (porcini, mixed mushrooms, hot peppers, olives, tomatoes etc.). Nowadays SALPA has many customers in Italy in GDO sector (Coop, ecc.), wholesalers, distributors, other independent supermarkets, many restaurants and small shops. SALPA exports to all 5 continents, with its customers in England, Ireland, Svezia, Francia, Switzerland, Giappone, Stati Uniti d’America, Canada, Nuova Zelanda, Sud Africa, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Brasile, ecc… The firm employs about 8/12 people full time and more than 30 in the height of the season. SALPA is ISO 22000:2005 certified for food safety.
